PD CONTACTS INFORMATION

This document...

This document contains information on contacts 'on-the-scene' so to speak. Including people you can write to, or sometimes email for services and clubs. Plus of course all those demo groups. It's quite big, so to speed it up there's some internal links below. There is also a seperate list of clubs, usergroups, and magazines.

I'd like to make this database as conclusive as possible - so if all those old/current demo coders out there, or just anyone who's been interested in the Spectrum PD scene would like to be included or put an email address in or other details... Please do get in touch at jmg7@ukc.ac.uk.

Please bear in mind that the programming groups are not PD libraries and won't usually just send you stuff for nothing - it's a good idea to have new programs to swap with them.

Only the coders and PD Libraries known to me can be listed here. So if you know of another, or indeed are another libary or Speccy group, I would very much like to hear from you. If you think there is some missing information you can supply, do not hesitate to contact me also!

KEY TO SYMBOLS

I have tried to include for each group:
Name
Type - an individual or a group
Country
Members (if a group)
List of programs produced

If I have been bothered, there may well be a seperate page linked in to the list containing more info and graphics.

The country is specified by a [xx] where xx is one of the following. If none specified then they're English, and if unknown it'll be a [??].

If the country is next to a group name, all the group come from that country (AFAIK) unless there is a specific [??] mark next to a person's name/pseudonymm, in which case only that person is from the specified country.
Three dots (...) represent missing info, badly needed (!).

PD LIBRARIES

PD Libraries are where the bigger collections of PD hang-out, and you can 'order' a collection or specific ones from these places. They are allowed to charge for postage and other running costs, but not to sell the actual PD itself for profit.

Among the deceased that used to be here include Propac PD, RAS PD, Rasputin PD, Rave PD(I think), Total PD. So don't try writing to any address you may have for one of those - they've given it up.

DEMO PRODUCERS

What follows is a list of quite a few coding teams and people who either have been, or still are, writing things for the Spectrum.

The format of the listing is as follows:
The name is first, as a link if there is anything more about them.
The programs produced by them are stored sperately via links, or below the name after 'Programs' if there is no other information in a seperate file. m..n represent succesive demos with the same name ie CIR 1..4 means there are demos: CIR 1, CIR 2, CIR 3, CIR 4.

NOTE: It's supposed to be in alphabetical order, but it's my order not a program's. So there may be a few out of place.
Words like "The" are placed at the end, and spaces are ignored, so "The Mad Guys" would be indexed as "Mad Guys The".

There is also an index to all the groups with more detailed information.
